Arch flares came. No pictures yet sorry!
They're just as tacky as I expected them to be but I think once they're painted body colour and have been shaved on the backs for flush fitting I think they'll actually look alright - they match the size of the arches which is what I was having trouble with before.
I won't be riveting them on - going to use sealer instead, it's more flexible if it took a knock and doesn't damage the bodywork underneath (just paint). So I'm undecided on whether to fill the holes where the LEDs are (EWWWWW) and then paint them so they're solid or leave them and use false rivets where the holes are.
I also don't think I've even posted about this yet? But I'm also planning an OBD1 swap. Which involves F22 distributor with adapter plate (guy from 3geez makes them specifically), the jumper harness which I can also get made specifically for the A20 and an ECU which is the easy part but also the hard part - there's loads of different ECUs I can use but it's getting it mapped to suit the car that's the issue (nobody wants to touch it with all the changes). I've been given a suitable map by a friend which is set up for the A20 with a reground cam, b16 intake manifold and 240cc injectors so I'm ALSO planning to do all those changes or similar. Then I just need to give the map to someone (H-Tune have agreed to do it when I'm ready) and it'll be all set up, and suitable for future changes too.
I was really worried about whether I'd have to use an auto ECU or not as there was a lot of conflicting information out there but it turns out I was worried for nothing - as the auto box on these is mechanical it doesn't need any kind of information from an ECU so I can just use a manual ECU and it'll work fine, if anything an auto ECU would get confused as it would be looking for a connection to an auto box that doesn't exist.
Totally new to any of this mapping stuff so I've been doing a lot of research. It should be good when it's finished. I'm hoping really to get 150bhp. And it'll be perfect for running down the strip because it's where autos come into their element

I will be looking in future to do a manual swap if I can get my hands on one though! I don't want to swap out the engine because I love the type of torquey power the A series has compared to the B16, B18 etc. which thrive off top end.
I'll try to get some arch flare photos tomorrow along with better photos of the seats
